Firstly apolpgies for those reading my previous posts, working this late isn't good for my spelling. well at least that one thing i need to deal with in my study module proof reading..

I have just completed my first observation and typed up notes and produced a document. who'd believe that of me...

A whole week and no Blog... Tut Tut

Well Reverand its been nearly a week since my last blog.... what a week still struggling on, some things starting to make a little sence others not... Warwick of Thursday had a great walk around the campus in the morning, not planned some parking attendant sent me to the wrong costcutter 45 mins walking, never the less made it to the induction day on time.

Now its Sunday well getting close to Monday and I'm here on the laptop working actually doing so stuff to fiona's class

I'll try my best to check in a few more times this week...

Out side of the uni world last week went of a walking weekend with some scouts to a remote cottage no running water, no electric and no Loo !!!! but a great weekend of walking. didd cost a lot because I broke my car big time... ah well thats life.. Wednesday took my Beaver groupt bell ringing in local abbey, thats also good fun...

Think my pillow is calling... night all

Hi all, sorry been a while since last posting. Its been a bit of a roller coaster of a time as some of you are aware. I have had a low point and nearly throw in the towel but thanks to tutors and fellow students that helped me over this period. back to the studying. today another idea for Rachels assignment comes so lets hope that plants the seeds to complete this one. On the other hand had a good weekend walking in the Peak disrict with a groupof Scouts and alos gave time to reflect..

Here goes third week, and things are starting to get clearer. Some assignments are starting to make sence well at least ideas have come in to my head. hope fully if they work then with some hard research might scrape a 3rd...

Thursday 1st October

Well let me be one of the first to say "its nearly christmas". Listening to the tutors sounds like i'll be studing around the tree picking at the turkey... all say Ahhh.. :-0

Back to the job at hand, Wednesday a good day a few things start to fall in place. and I even managed to get a a willing child for my observations. Thanks parents of child X, B or is it Z.

right i'm off to start some studing for today been at work all day.

First day of a new week.

Started again. Rachel started our first module. not much done to night just recieved new laptop been busy setting it up. of an a course in the mornign with work.

Friday - last day of the week...

Thats it all done for the first week.. Great week overall good to meet all on the course. understand still more to meet. a few things to look forward to.. Lin i think mentioned about guest speakers looking forward to that. submitting first essay it will be good to know what level i'm at. all reading have a good weekend, I'm off to lookaround the Aston Martin factory.. Look in the car park Monday you may see one if i can sneak one out... I'll be so lucky.. ( where did kylie come from!!!)

One final comment - eat plenty of that Beetroot... Burp whoops that the vinatge bottle gone..

And Ahhhhhhhh again... computers... few got that out of the system... had tests this afternoon they where a lot of hard work, knew I won't be any good with the maths stuff but the ICT I should be okay with but the computer rules as ever.. it only wanted to do it its way even though I know you can do it my way... should have learnt by now. this morning great to see library and finally get on to moodle correctly. had to do a small presentation. that was fun and they all looked great. expect that they will be expecting this all the time.. think I will have a quieter night as I did start early this morning finishing off typing up yesterdays notes..

Day 3.

Day 3. yes half way through the first week. loads more learning learnt today. lots to think about such as assignments. to be honest think i'm looking forward to producing the first one.. need to start planning. I've a couple of ideas in my head.

had a look at essay writing. thats looks hard. a bit of practice required..

right off to do some work then scouts and then back to finish off with typing up todays notes.

tomorrow thinks its IT skills that should make some sence hopefully ( those who know me don't laugh). then its test time again... in the afternoon.

day two revisited. phew its only 10:15 and I can see the pillow calling. my notes are typed up and two pieces of "homework" completed. well we will see once tut reads it.. may be in detention by end of week.

any way one fascinating fact I learnt yesterday. BEETROOT is the new brain food... do they do a good vintage bottle of beetroot wine? or am I just on the pickled stuff..

Day Two over and done with. Phew that was hard work learnt lots realsie I still need to learn even more. Last night worked late in to the night typing up notes, and just about to do it all over again.

Well.... First day over well as far as attending college, now the next few hours need to reflect and type up notes. Overall been a good day great to meet the rest of the class and looking forward to the challenges to come..

My feeling about writing course assignments..

Our tutor has asked us to answer a few questions.. so here goes...

1. My feelings about writing for a course assigment and using a blog. Blog bit first... ahhhh! this is all new to me, although I have come from a IT background, I still have concerns about the world wide web ( WWW) I know it has great things to offer, but putting my feeling out for you all to see, scary. But one way or another I will be pulled in to the 21st century... Feelings once again scary, it been many years since I was in school and left with out going in to 6th form or any other further education where essay writing was required. I'm hoping that our tutors will guide us and then it all will soon make sence. what ever the challenge is daunting but something to look forward to.

2. Why do I think we write assigmentments? I would suggest its to provide someone else the confindence that as a student we have researched and learnt our subject / topic and also provides us with a chance to recap our knowledge and check our understandings.

3. What do I think the purpose of a report is? reports I usually think of something that provide infomation if a easy to use format and can be pulled out of as required, mainly reports are factual infomation that has been gathered.

4. What do I think the purpose of an essay is? I laways thought an essay is like a story, sure that thsi is not the case. However are they not a document which is more like a story layout providing either factual or fictional infomation is a format that is to be read as a continuous piece.

Time is drawing closer to starting uni and having to study...

Hi, back again.... Still none the wiser about Uni.. anyway things have moved on again we now have an allottment, so lots of digging to do...

First Head ache...

Hi anyone reading this, my head is hurting so many things to start to prepare, first face book then blogs what ever next may have to do studying.
